Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Butterflies in Ballgowns, I personally handle every order from my one-woman studio in Nelson, BC. My goal is to get your unique, upcycled pieces to you as sustainably and quickly as possible.

1. Processing Times

Because I am a solo creator, please allow 3-5 business days for me to package and ship your order. If you have purchased a custom-made item, please refer to the specific timeline discussed during our consultation.

2. Local Pickup (Nelson, BC)

I love supporting my local Nelson community!

• Cost: Free.

• How it works: Select "Local Pickup" at checkout. Once your order is ready, I will email you to coordinate a pickup time at a central location in Nelson.

3. Domestic Shipping (Canada)

We ship nationwide using Canada Post

• Standard and Express options are available at checkout.

• All domestic orders include a tracking number so you can follow your parcel's journey.

4. International Shipping

I am thrilled to offer worldwide shipping to our Butterflies in Ballgowns community abroad.

• Destinations: We ship to the USA, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

• Customs & Duties: Please be aware that international orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

• Delivery Times: International shipping typically takes 7–21 business days, depending on your location and customs processing.

5. Sustainable Packaging

In my effort to reduce waste, your order will be shipped using eco-friendly, recyclable, or repurposed materials. I encourage you to reuse or compost your packaging whenever possible!

6. Lost or Damaged Items

While I take great care in packaging your one-of-a-kind items, Butterflies in Ballgowns is not responsible for packages lost or damaged by the mail carrier. However, if there is an issue with your delivery, please contact me immediately, and I will do my best to help you track it down.
